The Supreme Court released a key decision on gun control this morning. The high court ruled Americans have a right to own guns for self-defense and hunting. The 5-to-4 ruling struck down the District of Columbia's 32-year-old ban on handguns as incompatible with gun rights under the Second Amendment.
CBS News Correspondent Barry Bagnato is in Washington D-C. Bagnato said the Supreme Court decision goes further than even the Bush administration wanted, but should leave most firearms laws intact. This is the first major ruling on gun rights in the nation's history.
