The City of Gainville's Girls' Fast-Pitch Softball League hit a home run with Talk Show Host Jenny Jones. The League has won a 7,000 dollar grant from Jones' program called Jenny's Heroes. Over 100 girls who play in the league will be benefiting from the grant. Coach Stacie Knight applied for the award. Girls ages eight to 14 from all over alachua county play in the league. Knight's daughter plays on the softball team she coaches. As the news has spread of the money the girls' league will be receiving many are excited it will helping a Gainesville program. The grant will bring new improvements to Northeast Park.
