Gainesville's "Let's Go Downtown Free Fridays Music Festival" opened last week to an amazing crowd. Events Coordinator David Ballard with the city of Gainesville says more than 600 people turned out.

The concert series runs from May through October, with a different band every week.

Ballard expects tonight's show to be just as great as last week's.

A series of poets with "Third Eye Spoken" will take the stage during intermission.

The Plaza is located on the corner of Southeast 1st Street and East University Avenue in downtown Gainesville.
