Take a deep breath, open your mind and head out to the One Nation Under Love Festival this Saturday in Gainesville. The city is hosting this family friendly event displaying cultures from around the world. Event coordinator Crystal Martin says there will be a wide variety of activites to for everyone participate in.
The event is planning to focus on spirituality and peace. Coordinators hope to educate the Gainesville community on people from other walks of life and encourage them to be more accepting. Martin says the key to peace is education and the message is for everyone to love each other.
This is the first year for the festival but Martin believes it will be a success and says they hope to come back next year. The One Nation Under Love Fesitval is being held tomorrow April 26th from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Gainesville Community Plaza. Martin says first hand experiences like this can't be taught in school. The event is free to the public so bring your children out to be educated on the lives of people from different countries. Who knows, you might learn something.
