30th Annual Farm & Forest Festival

Head back in time for the 30th Annual Farm and Forest Festival. Experience life in North Central Florida during the mid-to-late 1800's at Morningside Nature Center. Program Coordinator for the city of Gainesville, Sally Wasney says the forest played an important part during this time.

Wasney says visitors will see historic-breed farm animals and observe traditional crafts and trades, like blacksmithing, spinning, weaving, and woodstove cooking.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12. Children under 3, get in free.

The Farm and Forest Festival will take place tomorrow and Sunday at Morningside Nature Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
