Ancient Greece comes to life in modern-day Gainesville. The University of Florida's dance and Performing Arts Company will perform the famous Greek play Lysistrata, for the next two nights at the Constanc Theatre on campus. And performing for Gainesville will be a piece of cake now, after taking the play international into Lysistrata's birthplace -- Greece. But don't worry, just because the play is based on ancient conflicts, doesn't mean the plot doesn't relate to modern-day life. The original writer Aristophenes tries to find an end to an ongoing battle. His idea? No sex until the war is over. The director of this rendition has also adapted the play, adding on more music, more dance, and more fighting. Knowing Aristophenes sense of humor, he would love the new look at the old version. The play will run for two nights only at the Constanc Theatre. For tickets to this bawdy comedy, visit the University box office, and get ready for a night of entertainment equal to any modern-day Hollywood drama
