The Westboro Baptist Church visited Gainesville yesterday to spread their beliefs, which include God's hatred for different groups of people. Congregation leader Shirley Phelps Roper says they stopped at four different religious location around the city to spreading this message and warning. A counter protest was organized at Trinity United Methodist Church. Atendee River Saintsibary says adhering to any faith should not be based on hating others. WBC came to Gainesville about two years ago to protest at a memorial service for a resident soldier.
