Although unemployment is showing signs of easing around the nation, many Floridians are still feeling the pinch. University of Central Florida Institute for Economic Competitiveness Director Sean Snaith says recent figres showed unemployment in the state has continued climbing, although is may not be for much longer. He says one risk the current policies in the state have created is a reliance on unemployment benefits. He says this reliance on social aid plans mirrors policies like what are seen in European countries, which may not be ideal for the American system.
