The Florida Department of Law Enforcement closed its investigation on the shooting of Kofi Adu-Brempong on Thursday and sent out a copy of its report to the University Police Department and the State Attorney's Office for a decision to be made on what actions are to follow. However these files are off limits to the public. As the public waits for more feedback on what will happen the Director of the UF News Bureau Steve Orlando says he hasn't received any information either but that President Bernie Machen has been talking to some of the protesters dealing with the issue and has had productive meetings. While the details have been kept quiet, the State Attorney's Office says that the information will help them determine if charges need to be pressed against Adu-Brempong and whether the police used unnecessary force. Currently, Adu-Brempong faces charges for aggravated assault and resisting arrest with violence.
