After a python sufficated and killed a two-year-old girl yesterday, people are wondering what are the permit regualtions for exotic pet owners, and what laws are in place to protect them from such animals. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman Henry Cabbage says that Florida's regualtions are actually very strict, however it's up to the pet owner to be responsible and follow these laws in that are place to aviod such tragedies.The owner of the python who killed the 2-year-old girl did not have the legal permit to own such a pet. Cabbage says that Florida's laws have specific regualtions for owners with exotic pets such as pythons.Contact the FWC to find out more rules and regualtions on owning exotic animals.
