A series of beatings and late night strong arm robberies has GPD stepping up patrols in areas around the Porters neighborhood. GPD Public Information Officer Keith Kameg says the criminals are mostly targeting students walking alone..and in most cases..it's not even about stealing money. The victim are being beaten badly. Kameg says it's important to call police immediately if you notice anything suspicious.
