Marion County Sheriff's Office is still investigating the cause of a dead body which was found in the forest off County Road 314A. Marion Country Sheriff's Office Captain James Pogue says the body has confirmed to be 27-year-old Silver Springs man, Derek McGivern. His skull was last found when volunteers and deputies searched the wooded area off Northeast 49th Street Road.

Pogue believes that McGivern fell out of the automobile when they went around a sharp curve, and some type of animal got hold of him. However, they are still investigating more information for the death cause.

Pogue says McGivern's body is now in the Medical Examine Office for more investigation.
