The Coast Guard has suspended its search for the downed aircraft and the two missing men. The plane crashed Sunday evening 20 miles southwest of Yankee Town in the Gulf of Mexico. Coast Guard Petty Officer Robert Simpson says the search can't go on forever. Unfortunately Simpson says after more than 40 hours of searching the Coast Guard was unable to find either the missing pilots or the missing aircraft, so that was when the decision to call off the search was made. Being in search and rescue, Simpson says they are always looking for survivors and after spending as many resources as they can out there, occasionally the tough decision to call off a search has to be made.
