If you want fresh produce at low prices, you may find it at the Alachua County Farmer's Market. Market Mananger, Jared Sweat, believes if you want cheaper food at a higher quality you should try to buy food from the Market. The Farmer's Market only houses locally grown food, so cold weather may limit your options. The only food in stock is the only food in season: like broccoli, cauliflower and other greens. Sweat thinks this time of year and this economy is hard on farmers. The Alachua County Farmer's Market is open on Saturdays from 8:30 A-M, to 1:30 P-M.
