A new search committee at the University of Florida is seeking candidates to fill the position of senior vice president for health affairs at the university. Doug Barrett, who currently holds the position, will remain the health affairs senior vice president until June 30th, unless the position is filled sooner. President Bernie Machen believes that although Barrett's shoes will be tough to fill, he believes the health science center has a strong national reputation for both clinical care and research and is confident they can attract a strong pool of candidates.
