Tropical storm Fay did more than spread some rain, it allowed researchers a chance to study what happens to power lines throughout a storm. Mark Jamison, director of University of Florida's Public Utility Research says that they have good data to work with. Jamison says the data is in, but the process could take a while to complete. The study may take a few months to complete, but the results could prove very helpful. The research will be used to help assess whether or not burying power lines is money efficient to prevent damage caused by wind.
