Stormwater from Fay

Tropical storm Fay is no longer dumping rain on the city of Gainesville, but that doesn't mean the city is not dealing with the water left from the storm. Gina Hawkins, spokeswoman for city of Gainesville's public works department says most of the city did not see major flooding. For those areas that do have some standing water, Hawkins says the city's infrastructure should be able to handle it. Fortunately, the city of Gainesville did not have too much damage from tropical storm Fay. The city will look to the tropics for further storms, as hurricane season is reaching its peak activity times of late August and September.
