The Santa Fe River may begin to flood later today. Emergency Management Chief for Alachua County, David Donelly says Tropical Storm Fay is to blame. For those living along the river, Donelly says if you haven't begun preparing yet, it may be too little, too late. Donelly says most residents living along the Santa Fe River have dealt with floods before and already own the flood insurance. He says its important to check to see if you are infact in a flood zone and from there decide whether you wish to purchase flood insurance.
