East Side High School in Gainesville has been raising money for months now as a way to fund their International Baccalaureate program in the face of budget cuts. The IB Trust Fund has collected almost 50 thousand dollars, mostly through parent donations. Trust Fund Committee member Elizabeth Boulet says the money will fund several key positions in the program. Boulet says the committee will wait until lthis year's election season is over before seeking donors from outside the school. The trust fund committee's goal is set at 150,000 dollars, though they expect they will only need about 130,000 to operate.
