Corrine Brown Criticized

North Florida Congresswoman Corrine Brown is defending help she received at her Jacksonville home during Tropical Storm Fay.

As floodwaters rose last week, a city public works crew placed sandbags around the Democratic representative's home along the Trout River.

At least one neighbor was upset he didn't get the same assistance.

Brown chief of staff Ronnie Simmons says the congresswoman will be reimbursing the city $800 for the work. He says she called city officials for help, ``not as a political favor, but as a person in dire need.'' The mayor of Jacksonville has since said it was wrong to give such preferential treatment to Brown.
