Faculty and staff at the University of Florida will be seeing a raise increase beginning in the fall semester. President Bernie Machen announced that eligible faculty will participate in a three percent merit pool and all staff will recieve a two percent raise across-the-board. The merit raises will be awarded based on criteria that each college dean will determine. Machen says the raise is a thank you to University educators for their commitment to educational excellence, while moving foward with limited resources. The pay raises will begin on September 19th and are made possible through recent tuition increases approved by UF's Board of Trustees.
