Fans of Gainesville's Super Wal-Mart may have something new to cheer about in the next couple of years. The corperation plans to move its Southwest 13th street location to a plot of land at US-441 and northwest 34th Street. The store will also be upgraded to a super center with a grocery store. Walmart spokeswoman Quenta Vettel says a new supercenter will be helpful to customers on that side of town. Vettel adds the new location will mean more job opportunities for Gainesville residents because of the centers expanded services. The project will not be final until it is approved by the Development Review Board. A public hearing on the matter is scheduled for August 14th at city hall.
