UF Football Player Released from Jail

University of Florida Gator defensive back Jamar Hornsby was released from jail this morning on charges of credit card theft and fradulent use of a credit card. Hornsby was allegedly using a credit card issued to Ashley Slonina, a University of Florida student who died last October in a motorcycle accident with walk on U-F football player Michael Guilford. Hornsby's attorney Huntley Johnson says the state attorney's office will decide whether or not to press charges against Hornsby. Johnson says Hornsby will be in Jacksonville with his mother until the next court appearance. According to court records, Hornsby started using the card a day after Slonina died and used it for six months, it's not yet known how Hornsby got the credit card.
