An Alachua County woman died yesterday when a train struck her car. 58-year old Cynthia Forman was killed on a private drive from her home off U.S 301 south of Hawthorne. Forman pulled into the path of an oncoming C-S-X train, which was traveling at about 59 miles per hour. The wreck occurred at about 1 PM at 1-1-3-0-6 Southeast U.S. 301 when she left her home to pick up her grandchildren from school.
