Resources Provided for Laid off UF Employees

The Office of Human Resources at the University of Florida will be providing services to all faculty and staff members who were impacted by the layoffs. Senior Vice President for Administration Kyle Cavanaugh says his office has a number of different services that will be provided. The Human Resource Office has provided the faculty and staff members who have been laid-off with critical information related to the budget cuts as well as the layoff process. Cavanaugh says the layoff process varies among the different types of positions at UF. Cavanaugh says these changes are difficult because among the 15 thousand faculty members, every one makes an important contribution.
