Drink Specials Leading College Students to Higher Levels of Intoxication

Drink specials may sound like a good idea for bar and club go-ers, but a new University of Florida study finds they dramatically increase the risk of college students walking out of a bar intoxicated, especially those who are underage. Study researchers say those drink specials foster the same mentality as an all-you-can-eat buffet. The study found that 68 percent of the participants under 21 had a higher blood-alcohol level compared to 32 percent for those 21 and over.
