UF Encourages Faculty to Stop Smoking

Faculty and staff at the University of Florida will have a chance to quit a bad habit... smoking. AHEC or the Area Health Education Center on campus will be funding the seven week FREE program for faculty to quit smoking starting next Thursday. Director of Nursing at the UF student health care center on campus, Jane Cullen says this program will offer faculty and staff a new way to deal with smoking. Cullen says this program will help UF get even closer to a tobacco free campus. Cullen says students on campus are already participating in a similar program to nip the habit in the butt. Cullen also adds that spouses of faculty can also attend the program but will have to pay. Faculty and staff can sign up on UF's Health page on-line.
