An Ocala woman claiming to be "with child" is now being faced WITH charges.

24-year-old Shawanda Butler was arrested by the Alachua County Sheriff's Department today for defrauding the Little Angels Adoption Agency and Choose Life of Marion County. Butler had told the agencies three months ago that she was pregnant and had received over five thousand dollars for medical expenses, rent payments, clothing, and groceries. Last month, the adoption agency found a very thin Butler in her home, on a couch, and with her stomach covered under a blanket. When she got up to get into her bedroom, they saw her try to stuff a pillow under her shirt in an effort to look bigger.

Butler now faces charges of organized fraud.
