Twenty years of evironmental protection in Alachua County is something to celebrate. The Alachua Conservation Trust will recognize environmental contributions at an anniversary celebration tonight at Hickory Ranch in Paynes Prarie. The non-profit organization has a long conservation legacy, and founding executive director believes the ACT is providing protection for generations to come. This is the ninth annual ceremony and Hutchinson claims the ACT is looking to expand their horizons. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 and will include a dinner, silent auction and a concert by Pierce Pettis.
