Alachua County Emergency Management officials say a possible tornado touched down in Waldo near the Waldo Flea Market on Tuesday. Representative from the Alachua County Division of Emergency Management Center Danny Hinson says emergency officals that were responding to an accident when they say the first signs of the tornado. Luckily no one was injured but the severe weather casued trees to fall while pulling some wires down with them. Hinson says EFC staff is continually monitoring the storm lines.Hinson says people can register at www.alachua-em.org for free email alerts when emergencies occur.
