Two men are dead after an all-terrain vehicle crash on Alachua County Road early Sunday morning. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 42-year-old Russell Keith Fricks of Gainesville and 43-year-old David Allen Crumpton of Jacksonville were two miles north of Gainesville when they were struck by a Mercedes Benz at 2 a.m. Frick wasthrown onto the shoulder of the road while Crumpton flew into the windsheild of the car, driven by 41-year-old John Gillespie of Gainesville. Gillespie's car then ran off the road and struck several trees and flipped on its side but he was not injured.Both men on the ATV died as a result of their injuries. Florida Highway Patrol believes all men had been drinking. The accident is under investigation and they do not know if anycharges will be filed.
