The Florida Board of Governors has finally made their decision, and there will be no chiropractic school at Florida State University. The board came to the decision yesterday afternoon, ending the issue which has been mired in controversy since its proposal. Board member Sheila McDevitt says her decision was based mainly on the FSU Board of Trustees' inaction.
Gainesville Chiropractic Associates Physician Dr. Keith Richeson says the decision was a disappointment. He believes students who can't afford the expensive private chiropractic institutions deserve a school funded by the state.
The chiropractic school would have been the first of it's kind at an American public university.
