Will Masoli End Up At Ole Miss?
With the Ole Miss Rebels now down to two scholarship quarterbacks with the recent transfer announcement of backup quarterback Raymond Cotton, it is looking more and more that former Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli could be enrolling at Ole Miss as early as this weekend.
Several published reports say Masoli could play as early as this year because he has already completed his undergraduate degree at Oregon. He would have to enroll in a graduate program at Ole Miss that Oregon does not offer in order to be able to qualify to play for the Rebels. The reports also say he would have to walk on and that he would not be able to receive a scholarship to play football.
Masoli is talented but he was kicked off the Oregon team after two incidents with the law including a second degree burglary charge. But Ole Miss may be willing to take a chance on him because there is no one with any experience now at the quarterback position should starter Nathan Stanley get hurt.
