$700 million is at stake for Florida in the Race to the Top competition
Florida Department of Education’s second time participating in race to the top might be paying off… the state was named one of 19 finalists in their bid for the grant and Department Spokesperson Tom Blutler says its a competitive final. He says, if Florida wins the race, the funds will be used to increase education quality in Florida. He says if the state does not win the competition, it will not stop the department from striving to achieve quality education in the state.
