Credit card skimmers threatening your wallet

A new form of crime is hitting the Gainesville area, and it has police officers concerned. Gainesville Police Department Spokesperson Tscharna Senn says an increasing number of credit card skimmers have been found around the city and county, and they can leave your identity and your bank account at risk. She says law enforcement has been investigating diligently, but so far no leads. She says part of protecting the consumers may come from the gas station proprietors themselves. She says the main way to protect yourself from card skimming is to stick to cash whenever possible- even if it is more difficult.
