Oil Watch Florida
Gulf Coast Fishing Water Re-opened
The oil spill has brought nothing but bad news to gulf coasts areas of Louisianna and Alabama, but now some Gulf coast fisherman might get a break. the National Oceanic and Atmoshperic Administration announced yesterday it would reopen almost a third of all waters closed on account of the oil spill. Dunnelon’s Simply Seafood Owner Debra Galazi says she expects to see a drop in some prices of seafood because of n-o-a-a’s decision. Galleazi says prices depend on the species. she adds its not the price thats the problem its the demand. She says the longer the spill went on the more sceptical buyers were of contamination. Galleazi adds the negative affects of the spill will continue to be felt by business and residents for years to come.
